I find that the majority of the time, I'm always thinking about something other than what i'm supposed to be writing...like what my next script is going to be like. To get away from those distractions of initiating yourself into scriptwriting, the best way (for me) is to isolate yourself from everything but your pen paper/computer. Stay away from TV, phones, Internet, gaming consoles, anything. Just lock yourself up into a room with the mentality of writing. Then when you think you've written a substantial length or think you need the break, take one. Take a 20-30 minute break that is a REAL BREAK. In this time, get away from the WRITING ROOM and do anything but write. Then when you get back to your writing, you'll be relaxed and ready to go.
This is just a suggestion. You just need to find your own niche at doing things. Everyone's different so maybe it won't work for you but there's no harm trying.

find a quiet spot, a library, coffee shop that is not busy all the time, concentrate on one or two scenes at a time
i am not sure where you live but i go to a reference library, very quiet, or just sit in the park but remember to focus.

Have an imaginary conversation with your character. Interview them and let them tell you about themselves. Many feel that characters and their choices lead a story, not the other way around. How do they react to a given situation?
